Our busy orthopedic practice is recruiting for an experienced Medical Scribe working onsite at our Ventura clinic.
Overall responsibility:
Under the direction of the Physician, act as a Medical Scribe and provide electronic medical record support services.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- transcribing medical data quickly and accurately while patients are being examined
- preparing electronic charts of upcoming new and established patients by entering referring and other treating Doctors(s) contact information, and all medical information relevant to the office visit, including patient history, symptoms and complaint.
- Maintain records using accurate spelling, correct grammar and completeness before they are sent to the Doctor for review and signing
- responsible for keeping the physician moving in the office during clinic hours
- familiar with most current electronic medical record system in the clinic
- be available for training when required
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and twelve to eighteen months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
