Face-paced Dermatology/Cosmetic Surgery office in Laguna Niguel seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with scribe experience. An ideal candidate is personable, detail oriented, efficient under pressure, and a self- starter with the ability to learn quickly. The position also requires excellent verbal/written skills.
Daily task will include assisting the physician with patient care, both medical and cosmetic, transcribing into an EHR, providing patient education, follow-up with patients/pharmacies, and possessing the ability to accurately and efficiently enter medical data into electronic medical record system.
We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with people, can multi-task, and has a friendly, outgoing personality. Must have excellent computer/typing skills as well as maintain a sense of responsibility. Previous medical assistance in dermatology required.
Ideal candidates will also possess the following:
- Vast understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge and articulation in discussing products and procedures
- Professional demeanor and attitude
- Natural inclination to take the initiative
- Computer savviness
- Punctuality
Experience with the following preferred:
- Transcribing into EHR ( Electronic Medical Records)
- Dermatology Diagnosis/treatments/prescription protocols
- Experience with prescription prior authorizations and patient call backs
Experience:
- Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer Skills: 1 year ( Preferred)
- Transcription: 1 year ( Preferred)
