Job Overview: Medical Scribes record details of the patient’s exam – clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures performed, and medical orders.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Documenting the providers dictated patient history, including the history of present illness and review of systems.
- Documenting physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the provider.
- Documenting the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the physician.
- Documenting all information pertaining to the patient’s encounter.
- Accompanying the provider into the exam room to translate Spanish to English and document provider/ patient interaction.
- Monitor patient medical charts and recognize data discrepancies. Report discrepancies to physicians and medical assistants.
- Participate in staff and educational meetings.
- Perform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.
- Salary depending on experience.
