Argyll Skincare is looking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant/Medical scribe. This position is responsible for obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our physician assistants during medical procedures.

Who is our ideal candidate?
- Completed a medical assistant program from a certified school
- One to two years of prior experience in a medical setting
- An understanding of patient care and medical terminology, preferred Dermatology
- Experience using an electronic medical record

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties within the scope of a Certified Medical Assistant including assisting the skincare specialist with electronic medical records, assisting with patient instruction, skin biopsies and excisions.
  • Room patients with skin concerns in accordance with office standards.
  • Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting skincare specialist with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Preparing and administering medications for patients as directed by physicians.
  • Process prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
  • Organize exam and treatment rooms, obtain and restock supplies, clean and sterilize rooms on a daily basis.
  • Perform all other related duties assigned by supervisor.

Medical Assistant Requirements:
  • Must have certification from a medical assistant program or military medical corpsman program.
  • One to two years of experience in a medical setting.
  • Have high school diploma, some collegiate level sciences including anatomy, or equivalent.
  • A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, reference tools, and appropriate clinical pharmacology for medical assistant practice scope.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
  • Experience in Dermatology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ECW is a plus.
