Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret construction blueprints and plans to determine framing requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape framing materials (e.g., wood, steel) according to specifications.
- Assemble and install framing components, including walls, roofs, and floors.
- Ensure that all framing work is completed with precision and adheres to building codes and project specifications.
- Implement diagonal bracing techniques to maintain structural integrity.
- Collaborate with other construction team members, such as carpenters, to coordinate and complete framing tasks effectively.
- Inspect and troubleshoot framing work to identify and resolve any issues or defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Framer in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques and materials.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and plans.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape framing materials.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to framing work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety and a strong safety record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in framing is a plus.
